This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
You don't need any experience~just come as you are.
There's no pressure to pose perfectly or have perfectly behaved children.
I'll guide you along the way, and together we'll focus on connection, not perfection, trust the process. The most beautiful photographs are often the ones you never planned for x
What if we feel awkward in front of the camera?
Almost every family tells me this. The good news? You don't need to know how to pose, where to look, or what to do with your hands.
I'll gently guide you when needed, but mostly I'll invite you to slow down and simply be together. Read a book. Have a cuddle. Chase your little one around the backyard.
Before long, you'll forget the camera is even there.

Why do newborn sessions last longer?
Because babies set the pace.
Feeding, changing, cuddling, and settling are all part of the experience. I intentionally leave room for these moments so the session feels calm and enjoyable rather than rushed.
I'd lean into the idea that settling, feeding, and cuddling aren't interruptions to the session, they're part of the story. The goal isn't perfection; it's preserving this beautiful, fleeting season just as it is ❤️
What if my children are shy, energetic, or don't sit still?
Perfect. That's exactly how children are meant to be.
I don't expect little ones to perform, smile on command, or sit still for long periods. Instead, I create space for play, exploration, cuddles, and connection.
Some of the most meaningful images come from the in-between moments

What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?
We will make a plan together.
Sometimes we reschedule. Sometimes we embrace the clouds. Sometimes we move indoors.
Beautiful photographs aren't made by perfect weather.
They're made by connection, light, and the people you love x

Can you recommend any good locations?
Absolutely.
The best location isn't always the prettiest, it's the one that feels like you. Whether that's a quiet beach, a sunlit field, or the comfort of your own home, I'm happy to help you choose a place where your family can simply be together ❤️

What should we wear? Can you help us choose outfits?

Wear something that feels like you.
I love clothing with texture, movement, colour, and personality. Linen, knits, cotton, vintage knit, soft stripes, ditsy florals~all photograph beautifully. You don't need everyone in beige or white (unless you genuinely love the colours).
Rather than matching, think about coordinating. Choose colours that complement each other and feel at home in your space.
Most importantly, wear something you can move, play, cuddle, and live in comfortably.
If you're unsure, send me photos of your options. I genuinely love helping families put outfits together.

What makes Your family photography different?
I'm not interested in creating perfect portraits.
I'm interested in preserving real ones.
The way your child reaches for your hand.
The belly laughs.
The messy hair.
The way your baby nestles into your shoulder.
The ordinary moments that don't seem important today but become priceless years from now.
Because photographs aren't not only about capturing your children portraits, but also remembering what life looked like, and how it felt.

How far in advance should we book?
Whenever you're ready.
Many families book 1-2 months in advance, especially for newborn sessions and busy seasons, but there's no harm in asking if your timeline is a little shorter.
If I have space, I'd love to tell your story.
PS: recommend 28 - 34 weeks for maternity & within the first 4-8 weeks for newborn.

Are these photos really worth it?
I'm probably a little biased, but I think so. Not because photographs are important. Because memories are.
The images we create together aren't just for you. They're for the little people you're raising.
One day they'll look back and see themselves wrapped in your arms, held close, loved deeply. And that might be one of the greatest gifts you ever give them
"For the days you'll want back."
❤️
